Getting started

Five steps.
No runaround.

Whether you're referring yourself, your child, or someone you support, here's exactly what happens, in order, with no mystery steps.

1

Contact

Fill in the referral form, or call or email us. Ask for help or another format if you need it.

2

Meet up

A relaxed first meeting, at our place, your place, or somewhere neutral. We listen more than we talk.

3

Plan

We map your goals to your funding and build a schedule of supports you actually understand.

4

Support

Matched workers, consistent faces, clear communication with you and your circle.

5

Feedback

Regular check-ins. What's working stays, what isn't changes. Simple.

Funding

Your plan, any flavour.

We work with participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. Live it Up is currently unregistered with the NDIS, aligning to the NDIS Practice Standards while pursuing registration. We do not currently accept NDIA-managed funding. If those words mean nothing to you, that's fine. Bring your plan (or just your questions) and we'll walk you through what your funding can actually do, in plain English.

Handy to have ready

Your NDIS plan (if you have one), a sense of your goals, and any preferences about workers, days or activities. None of it is mandatory for a first chat.

No plan yet? We can still talk.

Questions people actually ask

Can I choose my support worker?
Yes. Fit matters more than almost anything, so we match carefully, introduce workers properly, and if it isn't clicking, you can ask for a change without awkwardness. You won't hurt our feelings; you'll help us do our job.
Do you support children and young people?
Yes. We support young people across our services, including specialised substitute residential care, delivered under child safe standards with fully screened workers. Read our Child Safe Statement.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Warilla and work across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven, from the escarpment to the coast. If you're on the edge of that map, ask anyway.
Can a family member or coordinator refer someone?
Absolutely. Families, support coordinators, schools and other services refer people to us all the time, with the person's knowledge and consent.
What if it's not working out?
Tell us. Feedback is step five of our process for a reason: it's built in, not bolted on. We adjust workers, schedules and supports until it fits, and you can leave at any time without drama.
