Access is
the point.
A disability service with an inaccessible website would be missing its own point. This site is built to be usable by everyone: keyboard, screen reader, switch, touch, or any way you browse.
Accessibility review status
We are working towards WCAG 2.2 level AA. This website has undergone targeted automated and keyboard checks. A complete accessibility assessment has not been completed, so we do not claim conformance. Known limitations and further checks are listed below.
Built in, not bolted on.
Accessibility here is coded into the site itself, not added by an overlay widget. What that means in practice:
Full keyboard access
Navigation includes a skip-to-content link, keyboard controls and focus management. Full assistive technology journeys remain to be tested.
Visible focus
A contrasting focus outline identifies links and controls when navigating by keyboard.
Colour contrast
Text colours are measured against WCAG AA contrast ratios, on light and dark backgrounds, including small text.
Motion that respects you
Animations play automatically. You can pause them using the Pause animations button in the header or the setting below. Your device's reduced motion preference is always respected.
Screen reader structure
Proper headings, landmarks and labels throughout, including text alternatives on interactive graphics.
Flexible text
The layout is designed to reflow as text grows. Real-device and assistive technology checks remain part of final review.
This preference applies to animations across this website.

Need this another way?
Everything on this site is available in other formats: Easy Read, large print, or a person explaining it over the phone or in person. Interpreters can be arranged where needed. That's not a favour, it's the service.
Found a barrier? Tell us.
If any part of this site is hard to use, we want to know. We aim to respond within 3 business days and fix what we can, fast.
Formal complaints
If we don't resolve your concern, you can complain to the Australian Human Rights Commission under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992.

Review note, 20 Sep 2026: native heading structure and animation controls have been improved. Targeted checks cover routes, keyboard controls, narrow layouts and selected contrast pairs. Full screen reader journeys, physical iOS and Android devices, Firefox and the accessibility of our external forms remain part of the manual and independent review. We do not claim WCAG conformance.
